NEET PG counselling, state by state.
One national process, 36 state and UT processes. Here is how the two fit together, what changes with where you are from, and a finder for every state and union territory.
All-India quota
Run by MCC, open to every eligible candidate.
The Medical Counselling Committee conducts counselling for the 50% all-India quota seats of government medical colleges across states, and for seats in central universities and certain central institutions. Your home state doesn't restrict you here. Rank, category and choices decide the allotment.
State quota
Run by each state, usually with domicile rules.
The remaining seats in state government colleges, and often seats in private colleges in that state, are filled through the state's own authority, with its own portal, dates and eligibility rules. Domicile, state of qualifying degree and reservation categories are treated differently from state to state.
Find your state
Read this first. The authority names below come from third-party lists that disagree on several entries, and we have not verified them against official portals. Use them as a starting pointer, then confirm on MCC and on your state's own site. Where lists disagree, we say so.

Questions
Who runs NEET PG counselling?
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) runs counselling for the 50% all-India quota seats, plus seats in central universities and certain central institutions. Each state's own authority runs counselling for its state quota. Confirm the current rules in the bulletin for your cycle.
Do I need to be from a state to get a seat there?
For state quota seats, usually yes: most states apply domicile or residence rules, and the rules differ. For the all-India quota, your home state doesn't restrict you.
Can I take part in both all-India and state counselling?
In general they are separate processes with separate registrations, but check the rules on holding or leaving a seat in each.
Where do I find the real dates and seat lists?
On the MCC website for the all-India process and your state's official portal for the state process. Third-party lists, including ours, can be out of date.

Common questions
Is this official counselling information?
No. It is a plain-language guide that points you to official portals. Rules, dates and documents change every cycle, so always confirm on the official site.
Why isn't there a page for every state with seat details?
Because we can't yet verify that data from each state's own publication, and thin, near-identical state pages help nobody. We add a state page when we can fill it with verified, dated information.
Why do lists of state authorities disagree?
Sources differ and portals change. We mark each entry as commonly listed, disputed or unverified, and link to the place to check.
What is the difference between all-India and state counselling?
The Medical Counselling Committee runs counselling for the 50% all-India quota seats, plus central universities and certain central institutions. Each state runs its own counselling for state quota seats. Confirm the rules for your cycle.
Do I need to belong to a state to get a seat there?
For state quota seats, usually yes, since most states apply domicile or residence rules that differ from state to state. The all-India quota is open to eligible candidates from any state.
Can I take part in both processes?
They are generally separate, with separate registrations, but the rules on holding or leaving a seat in each differ. Read them before you register.
Where do I find real dates and seat lists?
On the MCC website for the all-India process and your state's official portal for the state process. Third-party lists, including ours, can be out of date.
What should I confirm for my state every year?
The authority and its website, domicile rules, reservation categories and certificate formats, the seat matrix with fees and bond conditions, the registration and choice-filling dates, and the rules on resignation.
Does the state finder cover every state and union territory?
It lists all 36 states and UTs. For many, the authority is left blank or marked disputed because we could not verify it.
Can you tell me which seat I will get?
No. Allotment depends on rank, category, choices and each cycle's rules. We make no promises about ranks or seats.
