The answer and the reasoning
B. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome
OHSS arises from VEGF-mediated increased capillary permeability after hCG exposure, leading to third-spacing. Management includes fluids, albumin, thromboprophylaxis and paracentesis in severe cases. Prevention uses a GnRH agonist trigger and a freeze-all strategy.
Option by option
A. Ectopic pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy presents with pain and bleeding.
B. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (correct)
Correct. This picture follows hCG-triggered ovarian stimulation.
C. Appendicitis
